Social Studies and Science:
The two “S’s” are integrated in our unit studies throughout the curriculum. Mini units are studied throughout the year on the following topics: space, dinosaurs, weather, seasons, rocks, seeds, Pilgrims, basic food groups, dental health and much more.
Our students continue to learn the Spanish language through familiar songs, stories and physical activities in the classroom under the direction of a trained Spanish teacher.
Haynsworth builds upon the basic foundation of learning with hands-on programs in Art and Music. Children are engaged in fun and stimulating art and music classroom activities to provide them with basic skills and encourage a lifelong enjoyment of the arts.
National Standard Achievement Tests are administered in the spring.
