Haynsworth Private School was established in downtown Greenville in 1921 by Mrs. Madelyn Haynsworth.
Tradition
Tradition is an important part of the Haynsworth
Private School. Since 1921 Haynsworth has endeavored to provide
Greenville area students with a superior education program in a
stimulating environment for social and intellectual development.
But it is not only tradition that sets Haynsworth apart; it is the dedication to the finest planned curriculum and the small, intimate classes where the individualized approach to learning enables each child to work on his or her level. It is the belief that education can be a rewarding and exciting experience.
Faculty
The teachers at Haynsworth are qualified,
college-trained individuals who believe that education is an ongoing
process. They attend summer school, seminars and workshops to develop
methods that enrich their backgrounds and allows awareness of current
educational trends.
Parental Involvement
The parent is an important part of
Haynsworth's success. A Parent Advisory Committee made up of interested
parents representing each grade, work with the administration in
planning special events, coordinating fundraising activities and serving
as a liaison between families and faculty. Parent-school conferences
are scheduled twice a year and additional conferences may be scheduled
upon the request of the parents or the school.
