Weekly News
The City People section of the Wednesday Greenville News and the Tribune Times has special events and exciting projects Haynsworth students are participating in weekly. Also, in the Kids Page section, there are submissions of outstanding writings, poetry and drawings from selected students. The Greenville Journal has a teacher of the week and a student of the week. They are selected based on their exceptional academics, diversity outside of the classroom and community involvement.

Art Show
Our annual Open House Art show is held on the first Friday in May each Spring from 12:00 noon – 2:00 pm. There is a sidewalk art display in the front of the building as well as numerous displays throughout the building.

Grandparent’s Day
Our Grandparent’s Program takes place each October. The children perform songs, poems, skits, finger plays, etc for parents and grandparents.

Book Fair
Our annual Book Fair takes place in February each year.

Muffins for Moms
Moms visit in their child’s classroom while enjoying a cup of coffee and a muffin.

Doughnuts for Dad
Dads visit in their child’s classroom while enjoying a cup of coffee and a doughnut.
